Frequently asked questions

How do I crop an image?

Upload your image, drag the crop box to position it and drag a corner to resize. Choose a fixed ratio (1:1, 4:3, 16:9, passport) or 'Free' for any shape, then click Crop & Download.

Does it keep the original quality?

Yes. The crop is applied to the full-resolution image, not the smaller on-screen preview, so your downloaded crop is as sharp as the original. The output dimensions are shown next to the button.

What aspect ratios are available?

Free (any), 1:1 (square, good for profile pictures and Instagram), 4:3, 3:4, 16:9 (video/cover), 3:2 and a passport-style 35:45 ratio.

PNG or JPG?

Choose PNG to keep transparency and maximum quality, or JPG for a smaller file (a white background is added where the image was transparent).

Is my image uploaded?

No. Cropping happens entirely in your browser; your image never leaves your device.
